About Us
We specialize in providing highly trained armed and unarmed security officers for various industries such as construction, hospitality, healthcare, retail HOA and POA customers. We opened in 1994 out of a need for small professional security and investigation firms as the market was being taken over by the high priced “super companies” who were in the business for profit and alienating the real security firms who are in the market for the customer. They do not value the customer for anything more than how much they could charge if they were the only game in town. We value the customer as more than an account number and a profit margin!
Thin Red Line Investigation and Security is a privately and family-owned company whose managers and owner will stand a post with our officers. We provide you with a shift supervisors’ cell phone numbers and WE ANSWER when we are called, 24 hours a day 365 days a year. The owner of the company is an active DCJS instructor and very active in the field for this company. Sites visits are done on a weekly basis and he will speak to the property manager or client if they are available.
Our Team
Our team of armed security officers and unarmed security officers undergoes rigorous training to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills to handle any security situation.Security guarding service is our job.
We follow Virginia DCJS standards for the core training program for armed and unarmed officers. Throughout the year we have CPR, AED, and First Aid training as well as other requirements. All our trainers are prior law enforcement or SCOP officers from with in Virginia with extensive HOA, POA, and commercial account experience. We train to the highest level possible for the officer’s safety and protection of your property.

Patrol logs and completed maintenance requests as well as hazard reports can be handled by our officers in their normal patrols. We also offer a patrol log and floor / door check. this is called a scan point and put in report form and is viewable to you the client with our daily reports. Mobile Patrol and checks
Our company offers a mobile patrol in a marked vehicle for visability on your property with flashing patrol lights. We believe being visable is half the battle, with property checks done by a marked vehicle it shows that the client is very serious about their investment. We have the ability to place a mobile unit on the property for the entire shift or have them do random nightly property checks through out the day or night. This service is used by Auto dealerships, truck parking lots, storage facilities and churches for the cost efficient solution to a full time security officer. We offer several packages for this service. A completed daily log with pictures will be sent the following morning to an email you predetermine.

Fire Watch
Whether it is after a fire or while the fire monitering system is down , let Thin Red Line hold the line on safety. We will moniter your building or property for any signs of fire while the sprinkler system or fire alarm is being worked on or is out of service. We can also come in and protect your property from vandals when you have a fire by posting officers to moniter the scene for any theft or rekindling of the areas involved.
Emploiee termination / Threats by a customer
We offer a uniformed or plain clothed officer to moniter your business entrance or front desk to intervene if any problematic interactions occur . Affording you the comfort knowing that your safety is our priority. We also can station a unarmed or armed officer at any office where termination of an employee will be occuring for prevention of inappropriate behavior . We strive to keep the environment safe for all those employees and your clients in the building .
Tour Group
Our company offers over night security for youth groups so the chaperones can get a good night sleep and not worry about monitering the halls watching the rooms. We provide a security officer to watch the hall while you rest. All we need is 1 adult to contact if there is an issue.
